Here is our homecoming guide! We hope this page makes your ordering process fun and effortless. If you are new to homecoming we highly recommend reading through this page. Beginners Guide to Mums and Garters
- 01The number one question I receive from first time buyers is "What size mum should I buy?" Traditionally the size of your homecoming mum goes by grade level. As you progress through school, your homecoming mum increases in size. Size is completely based on traditions and does not need to be followed! The traditional sizes consist of... Freshman : Single Flower Sophomore : Double Flower Junior : Triple Flower Senior : Quads, Texas shape and bigger!
- 02Your homecoming mum or garter is a complete reflection of your personality, high-school career and your passions. Most students add their name, significant others name, sports, significant others jersey numbers, graduating year or class, bible verses, favorite hobbies and brands. The list is never ending and there is nothing you can't put on a homecoming mum!
- 03It all goes back to tradition. Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors traditionally stick with school colors and seniors choose white with silver or gold. Over the years senior have chosen colors that reflect there personality and style rather than the traditional colors and we are here for it! We have seen a lot of underclassmen choosing pops of colors like pink, baby blue and purple to go along with there school colors as well.
- 04In order to secure your order we recommend placing your order as early as June. However we offer order reservations which allows you to place a $50 deposit at any point in the year. Once you know the design of your mum, colors, size and budget, we can collect all the details and your spot will be waiting!
- 05Garters do not always follow the grade level sizing. We have found it more common for garters to only consist of one flower and the details will reflect grade level. When it comes to color, garters tend to follow the same color traditions. Like we have stated before, it's a tradition not a standard so order something the recipient will love!
Ordering & Pickup
- 01We require every order to be picked up on the selected pick up date. The pickup location is at my home in Trophy Club, TX.
- 02There is not a designated last day. A rush fee is applied when an order is placed less than 7 days before the selected pickup date.
- 03Delivery and shipping is not something we currently offer.
- 04Consults are not required when ordering. We recommend consults to our seniors and clients that are passionate about the details!
- 05Here's what we suggest, whether you have a date lined up or not, we still highly recommend placing a order. We can always transfer you're deposit into next year but we can't always guarantee a last minute order. Most girls enjoy having a mum so they don't feel left out of the best tradition!
- 06All of our mums and garters are custom made per the customers request, therefore, an order cannot be canceled and refunded after 24 hours. If the individuals experience a breakup or are no longer each others date, we can adjust any names or details that may apply. If there are any other changes you'd like to make to your order after it is placed, we can make these changes up to 7 days prior to picking up. Mum & Garter Details
- 01All mums and garters come with a different quantity of braids. Every package comes with a set of homecoming loops and a military braid as these are standard homecoming mum braids. Additional braids will all be designers choice.
- 02They are the next big thing! Acrylic trinkets are laser cut acrylic that have custom designs engraved into them. They add a luxurious look to you're homecoming mum or garter! A few of our packages include acrylic trinkets.
- 03Cutouts are custom cut cardstock with our cricut machine. We use cardstock and vinyl to add customized details to your order! Cutouts are typically used to display the recipients name, sports, extra curriculars and more! Every single package comes with cardstock cutouts.
- 04Boas are the fluffy feather you see on either side of a mum or garter. We offer 3 different sizes of boas, medium weight, heavy weight and turkey boas. Medium and Heavy weight boas are included in certain packages and they add a little fluff to your mum or garter! Turkey boas are luscious, fluffy, large boas! We recommend these to our seniors that want to make a statement!
